Founded in 2023 by Steven Henchel, Greens Guild began with a mission to create a welcoming golf community for enthusiasts from all backgrounds. Initially a modest endeavor, the Guild quickly found its footing and grew into a vibrant community united by a shared love for the game. As membership expanded, the league embraced players from diverse walks of life, including many veterans, firefighters, and police officers who bring a spirit of dedication and service to the Guild.

The Guild’s fun and lively atmosphere owes much to Ryan Smith, our Director of Fun and Engagement. Known for his infectious energy and positive outlook, Ryan makes every event a memorable experience, fostering camaraderie and enjoyment throughout the community.

Today, Greens Guild stands as a testament to the power of community, fostering friendships, and offering a fun escape for all who are passionate about golf.

As the Founder and Commissioner of Greens Guild, Steven Henchel brings together golf enthusiasts of all backgrounds to enjoy the game in a friendly and inclusive community. Inspired by a desire to make golf accessible and enjoyable for everyone, Steven’s leadership focuses on creating a welcoming environment that encourages camaraderie, fun, and mutual respect on and off the course. With a background in the Navy, he brings a steady, organized approach to the Guild’s events, ensuring that every member has a great experience and feels part of something special.

Often known as “Coach Ryan,” Ryan A. Smith brings his signature blend of wisdom, humor, and encouragement to the Greens Guild community. As one of the founding members, Ryan has been a guiding presence since day one—helping shape the Guild’s welcoming and fun-loving spirit. Guided by his favorite quote—“Never let a good score get in the way of a good time”—he helps members improve their game with a refreshing, joy-centered approach or a cold beer. For Ryan, the camaraderie is just as important as the scorecard, and he’s passionate about creating moments that keep people coming back—not just for better swings, but for better memories. Whether you're new to the game or chasing a personal best, Coach Ryan makes sure you're laughing, learning, and loving every hole along the way.

Spirited, energetic, and endlessly friendly, she’s the central figure who brings people together and inspires connection. With her bright and magnetic personality, Natasha has an innate ability to make everyone feel at home. Always in motion, she’s the cornerstone of the Guild’s growth, lighting up every interaction with her passion and positivity.
